Ron comes to Print-O-Stat with over 35 years experience in the Manufacturing Industry. He began working in the industry as a laborer in the maintenance trades while attending college classes at both York College and Harrisburg Area Community College in the evenings to acquire his Engineering Degree. During his time spent in various maintenance positions, he gained experience in automated production equipment. He was also introduced to Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) equipment, both the operation and troubleshooting of these machines. This experience helped him better understand the procedures and practical designs required in today's manufacturing processes. After acquiring all his engineering courses, Ron was able to move into an Engineering Design and CAD Administration position.
Ron's responsibilities required creating initial designs and also supervising a number CAD drafters and designers. His responsibilities also required interaction with other members of the engineering staff spanning the entire design to manufacture process. For a time, he was also in charge of deliverables from the computer files as electronic transfers and paper output through the print and documentation facilities.
Migrating from drawing board to main frame computers to personal computers, Ron has had the opportunity to not only utilize but also deploy various software such as: Gerber Systems Technologies, IBM Mainframe CADAM, Micro CADAM for PCs, PADS (PCB software), OrCAD, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Mechanical, Mechanical Desktop, and Inventor.
His experience as CAD Manager for 20 plus years coupled with his position as System Administrator for over 17 years enables him to relate to real world scenarios and issues. This has enlightened him to the importance of file and document management. Ron's experience utilizing various document management software, including numerous versions of Autodesk's Vault and Microsoft's file management has prepared him for the different levels necessary to control documents and planning workflows for numerous companies.
For the past 5 years, Ron has been part of Autodesk Reseller Channel providing services for implementing, and training of Autodesk's Manufacturing products. He holds many certifications including Manufacturing Implementation Certified Expert, and Inventor Professional Certification (2009-2011).
